Update on polio eradication efforts in Afghanistan for June 2019

In June

  • 2 case of wild poliovirus was reported.
  • 1.4 million children were vaccinated.
  • Permanent Transit Teams (PTTs) vaccinated 1 276 209 children, and cross-border teams vaccinated 131 897 children against polio.
