The World Health Organization (WHO) is currently inviting vendors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of technical support from international experts, for the implementation and certification of poliovirus containment, which addresses the following objectives:

• Participation in technical meetings and discussions and provision of technical support on poliovirus containment, including all elements of a biorisk management system, to various stakeholders;
• Development and provision of training courses and auditor qualification support, aiming at the development of a pool of qualified GAPIII auditors and GAPIII trainers;
• Participation in GAPIII audits and associated activities, including GAPIII compliance promotion;
• Provision of ad-hoc technical support for containment-related activities.

WHO intends to invite selected vendors to participate in a formal solicitation, via a Request for Proposals (RFP), at a later stage, for the above requirements. Complete details of the requirements will be included in the solicitation documents.
