The GPEI is committed to the principles of strong financial management, transparency and accountability. In addition to the GPEI annual expenditure reports, WHO and UNICEF financing web portals provide complementary information on polio for each agency.
In 2013, the GPEI began issuing annual expenditure reports against the GPEI budget. Expenditure is for both WHO and UNICEF. The information provided in these reports is drawn from the Integrated Management Systems of the respective agencies and has not been certified by relevant officials. Certified expenditure figures are provided by both agencies in their annual Statement of Accounts. Details of the results achieved, during the year for which expenditures are reported, are described in the GPEI Annual Reports. The financial requirements and budget categories can be found in the Financial Resource Requirements documents.
