The global effort to eradicate polio is independently evaluated by global, regional and national expert advisory groups.  Such independent evaluation helps crystalise status and sensitized strategic approaches. At the same time, international policy groups set technical agendas ranging from anything to the most appropriate short-, medium- and long-term immunization solutions to global containment efforts.

They advice, review, guidance and policy provided by these various bodies and experts groups is invaluable to the global eradication effort.
