Update on polio eradication efforts in Afghanistan for October 2019
In October:
- Four cases of wild poliovirus were reported
- 5.41 million children were vaccinated.
- Permanent transit teams vaccinated 1 832 016 children and cross-border teams vaccinated 162 872 children
