Update on polio eradication efforts in Afghanistan for January 2020

In January:

  • No cases of wild poliovirus were reported
  • 9.9 million children were vaccinated.
  • Permanent transit teams vaccinated 1,743,299 children and cross-border teams vaccinated 117, 232 children
