This independent panel of international public health experts reviews annual progress reports on immunization and surveillance from all 53 Member States of the European Region and reports the findings and required actions to WHO.
The Eastern Mediterranean Regional Certification Commission reviews the certification reports submitted by countries in the region, and formulates recommendations and reviews progress towards certification of polio eradication and containment of laboratory stocks of poliovirus.
