Making History: Collecting GPEI Artifacts and Records
The story of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) is made tangible through archival collections of related artifacts and records. From items utilized during immunization campaigns to lab materials, these collections represent the many individuals, organizations, milestones, and locations that have been apart of this global effort. The GPEI History Project Archivist collaborates with GPEI personnel and the archives of the GPEI partners to collect, preserve, and share these important pieces. Doing so will ensure the historic record of the GPEI partnership is robust and available both now and in the future.
Collecting GPEI artifacts and records is ongoing! If you would like to donate your own GPEI materials or learn more about this endeavor, please review the Call for Artifacts below for additional information and points of contact.
