The Global Polio Eradication Initiative is in
the midst of a consultative process to finalise a Strategic Plan
2010-2012, at the request of the Executive Board of the World Health
Organization.
The working draft has been country-driven and is based on the full use of
new tools and lessons learned over the past years, including those in the
Independent Evaluation of Major Barriers to Interrupting Poliovirus
Transmission in 2009. Input is being sought from a broad range of
stakeholders.
